A Delta Air Lines Airbus A330neo arriving from New York was moved to an isolated part of Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday, October 13, after an anonymous report that a bomb was on board. Security teams searched the aircraft and found nothing unusual, and the Israel Airports Authority said operations returned to normal.

What Happened
The flight left New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday, October 12, at 15:55 and landed in Tel Aviv shortly after 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday, according to AeroTime, which identified the aircraft as an A330neo with the registration N423DX.
After the aircraft touched down, it was directed away from its normal parking position to a remote area. Passengers were taken off before the search began, Israel National News reported. Ben Gurion security personnel then carried out a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
Delta’s Return to Tel Aviv
The incident came about five weeks after Delta restarted its New York–Tel Aviv service. The airline suspended the route on February 28, 2026, the day the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, and extended the pause twice. Its first flight back left JFK on September 6, 2026, and Delta now operates the route daily. The A330-900neo is the aircraft Delta assigned to the route.

What Remains Unclear
Neither Israeli authorities nor Delta have said whether the incident will affect other flights to Tel Aviv during the coming period.
