Porter Airlines Expands 2026 Summer Schedule With New Nashville and Boston Routes

Toronto-based Porter Airlines has officially unveiled its most ambitious summer schedule to date, marking a 20% increase in network capacity for 2026. The expansion, announced today, January 29, 2026, introduces a new cross-border service to Nashville and Boston, while significantly bolstering domestic connectivity from the airline's hubs in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.

This aggressive growth strategy positions Porter as one of the fastest-growing carriers in North America. By leveraging its fleet of Embraer E195-E2 jets and De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft, the airline is targeting high-demand business and leisure corridors.

Nashville Joins the Network

The crown jewel of the 2026 expansion is the launch of daily non-stop service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Nashville International Airport (BNA). This route marks Porter's first foray into the "Music City," providing travellers with a convenient downtown-to-downtown connection.

“We are making a substantial increase in flights for Porter this summer, touching on every region we fly to,” said Andrew Pierce, Vice President, Network Planning and Reporting at Porter Airlines. “Our overall network is growing by 20%, the fastest rate for any airline in North America, as we continue providing service for more passengers.”

Strengthening the Boston Corridor

Boston (BOS) will see a massive influx of Porter wings this May. The airline is launching new service from both Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Montreal-Trudeau (YUL). The Pearson-Boston route will debut with double-daily service, complementing the existing high-frequency flights from Billy Bishop.

Domestic Hub Expansion

Ottawa continues its transformation into a major Porter hub with new non-stop flights to Windsor, Sudbury, and Kelowna. Additionally, Porter is introducing service from Hamilton (YHM) to St. John’s and Winnipeg, offering Southern Ontario travellers more alternatives to the busy Pearson hub.

“Beginning May 1st, service in Sudbury (YSB) and Windsor (YQG) moves to Ottawa from Toronto City, providing travellers with non-stop access from these cities to Porter's growing hub in the national capital and greater connectivity across North America,” Porter Airlines stated in an official release.

Sun Routes Extended

In a departure from traditional seasonal planning, Porter has also confirmed it will extend several "winter sun" routes through the summer. This includes service from Toronto Pearson to Cancun, Costa Rica (Liberia), and Nassau, as well as from Ottawa to Cancun.

As Porter continues to take delivery of its 75 Embraer E195-E2 order, the airline’s "elevated economy" experience (featuring no middle seats, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and complimentary beer and wine in glassware) remains a central pillar of its competitive strategy against Canada's legacy carriers.
